Valuing your business
Whilst KWS do not state an asking price when representing businesses being sold, we appreciate that you need to know how much your business could be worth.
Valuing a business for sale requires the KWS team to understand and analyse your business taking into consideration performance to date and future prospects. This review will also include an assessment of the following factors;
Tangible assets: plant & machinery, premises, employees;
Intangible assets: reputation, client base, brand, sector, uniqueness of your business;
Financials: adjusted profits, turnover, gross profit margins, reliability of income streams
Sector: competition, barriers to entry, trends, future opportunities
With this information and our general experience, KWS are able to provide a view on what we believe is the likely achievable value for this business.
However, a business can attract a wide range of offers and the bid price is often determined by the motivation of the acquirer. A potential purchaser who has a strategic reason to purchase your business may well offer a higher bid than someone who may be acquiring for financial reasons.
Successfully identifying the key motivation behind a bid will assist the KWS team to negotiate a more valuable deal structure.
