Negotiations & Closing the Deal
The KWS team will work with you throughout the whole sales process. Our role does not end when we have secured a buyer and settled on a price for your business. In fact, you could argue that is just the start!
Agreeing the structure of the offer, deciding on the timing of payments, negotiating what is and isn’t included in the deal and agreeing a time frame for completion are all points to be considered during the negotiation process.
KWS work closely with your legal and financial advisers during this period. Our goal is to see the deal through to a successful conclusion with the minimum of stress and disruption to you and your business. However:
- Be prepared for negotiations to span several months and to be asked for very detailed information
- Make sure the deal process is controlled by you
- Never believe that the deal is done until completion
- Don’t forget to keep running the business
